Who we are

About us

St Patrick’s College Jaffna Alumni Association UK (SPCAAUK) was established in 1991 as an organisation for the Old Boys of St Patrick’s College, Jaffna, Sri Lanka living in the United Kingdom. It was founded with the intention of bringing the Old Boys and their families together for social activities and sports, but more importantly to help the students of St Patrick’s College.
On 23rd August 2001, a public charitable organisation by the name of St Patrick’s College Alumni Association UK, Charity number 1088167, was created. The inaugural committee worked hard to get the Alumni Association off the ground. Our success can be attributed to a number of factors. We regularly organise Dinner Dances in which large number of Patricians and well wishes would participate. We have organised two Global reunions and in 2016 we received a plea from our Rector, that our college required a Technical Lab. Patricians contributed well over £125,000.00 to build the Technology Lab for our College. Last year we donated 34 laptops and 2 PCs and servers to the College. Our support now extends to supporting staff overtime payments towards student exam preparations. (Please take a look at our projects page). Over the past several years SPCAAUK has provided financial assistance to various St Patrick’s College projects and continues to do so in a favourable manner. SPACCUK has also restarted to provide assistance to underprivileged children at the college. Please see our projects page to see our latest contributions to St Patrick’s College, Sri Lanka.
